Dover Street Market market...

It does look like a typo, but it's true, DSM is holding a market this bank holiday... No idea as what to expect, but there is a few things that i love about DSM: it's ultra directional fashion and the chocolate brownies are really luscious! After a little while in the store, i end up feeling frumpy + uncool, but inspired too, so it's not a bad thing! And it's forever changing, and always embracing new trends unconditionally. And Albert Elbaz does the Lanvin displays...

The DSM maket is conveniently held near old street, so this is going to be my chance to explore part of east london that i have not seen in long time, such as Rob Ryan's studio/ shop, beyond fabrics and the vintage shops in columbia road!

Saturday, Sunday and Monday: 10.00am to 7.00pm

DSM market:
The Old Depot
1-3 Wenlock Road
London N1 7SL

Knitting buttons...

I bought these cutest of cutest buttons last Sunday, at the Battersea vintage fashion fair (where I was also convinced to buy a pair of suede lederhosen-looking shorts... which are not easy to wear as I overindulged whilst in Sweden over easter... ) Chocolates and holiday aren't a good mix!
I am no knitter but i'm tempted to try the granny square crochet classes organised by make.do.mend (conveniently scheduled in teashops) or or Lisa Margreet's crochet workshop...

This royal brooch was another find; it is delicately beaded on red velvet - and that's something else beyond my skills!

A collection of great hats...

My friend Alessandra sent me these pictures she took in a shop window in Brick Lane a few weeks ago . I don't know anything about their maker(s)... please let me know whom to credit! They are so wonderful; I especially love the ice cream one...

Time for tea!

Friday, late morning: I really need my second cup, and what a perfect necklace along this theme!

calico bears...

I have not been posting since Easter, so i thought that a post was long overdue... I've been quite busy with an upcoming order and new stock, and here is a cute picture to lift my mind! i've a bit of an obsession with vintagey looking soft toys, and i'm falling for these very cute bears from...
MacCulloch & Wallis! They stock a large range of ribbons, toggles and buttons, but I had not expected to find bears there!
